Says that Utah State was all over him and offered, but had to back off because of some changes in a player's Mormon Mission. Looks like the Jaycee Carroll comparison's might be accurate if Utah State was going to offer him early!
Interesting how UCSB first found out about, him. Apparently he didn't play a very good game at a summer tournament that the UCSB staff was scouting, his dad told him after the game "Not to worry about playing at UCSB." But they saw something they liked, followed him the rest of the summer, and went after him. Seems to have worked out!
