			<description><![CDATA[ The weeding our process in Engineering starts on your first class and doesn&#39;t end until your junior year, believe it or not. 2 out of 3 flunk out of
Engineering from the time they are freshmen by the time they graduate.  I don&#39;t think the material is that much harder than Physics, but the grading curve
is pretty intense.

			<description><![CDATA[ Dakyne - started out physics, couldn&#39;t hack the upper division, and ended up with a BS in geology.  Lower division classes were, for the most part, a piece
of cake, though I wouldn&#39;t know anything about engineering ones.  Don&#39;t get me wrong - there are definately some lower division classes that are weed
out courses, but the vast majority are much easier than upper division - especially, oddly enough, the science GE ones.  I dunno, maybe I&#39;m just
remembering fondly the easy... ]]></description>

If I am correct then the NCAA changed the number of core classes an incoming freshmen has to take to participate in baseball.  Joyce as a student could not
know this unless his high school counselor informs him, most unlikely, or his college coaches or college administrator... ]]></description>

Take it easy on Joyce.  Joyce might be struggling but he has his goals in order as he passed up real $$ to attend school.  He was drafted in the 10th round by
the Dodgers and would have gone much, much higher if teams thought he might sign.  All teams knew Joyce has the right build and pitching repetoire but he let
all teams know that he wanted to attend SB.  He might be struggling right now but he is not all about the mighty dollar.  These are the reasons why I was so

			<description><![CDATA[ Sounds like the Reds didnt offer the schooling expense.  Good news for SB!!  Originally, I thought Valaika would return to finish school.  The life of a
professional baseball player is good but not a glamourous life in the rookie league with the constant bus rides and in the middle of nowhere.  I am sure Chris
talks to him regularly about minor league and missing the blue ocean and all.

			<description><![CDATA[ As so many Gauchos sign with ML teams, what will our 2010 baseball team look like?  The biggest question surrounding the program is how to replace the offense
that loses Carlson, Cummings, Gump, Oliver, DeAlba, Cook, Cavan and most likely Valaika.  Cavan and Valaika are big losses since they are juniors but most
likely wont return.  That said, our offense was good last season and I still think we should be okay as we add some jc players.  Our young group of hitters
